Green River Flight School Learning to fly is not as expensive nor as difficult as some might have you believe. It comes out to be about what you would expect to pay for a nice snow mobile or ATV. Yes it takes time and dedication, but so do most things that you desire to do well. The FAA requires the following: 1) A Minimum 40hrs of Instruction. 2) Of that 40 hours 20hrs must be dual instruction from a certified flight instructor and 20hrs must supervised solo flight. Because people learn at different rates the national average for obtaining Private Pilot Certification is 65hrs. Our rates are as follows: Aircraft Rental: Piper Cherokee 160 - $95.00hr Flight and Ground Instruction: $40.00hr. Advanced Instruction (IFR): $40.00hr.
Bob North Jr. is also on staff at Green River Flight Center
Matt McKeon has also earned the FAA Gold Seal Instructor Certificate. What is a Gold Seal Instructor? The FAA issues the coveted Gold Seal Flight Instructor certificates only to those instructors who give a lot of flight instruction and whose students successfully pass checkrides. This means you can have a high degree of confidence that the training you are paying for is up to date, accurate, and efficient. Inefficient training is expensive, and having to retake a flight test can cost hundreds of dollars more. You have the right to expect to be given good training and to pass your flight test first time. A Gold Seal CFI certificate is the seal of approval the FAA gives to exceptional instructors.
